The TR-2 (TS7158L) was my second TR. I bought a TR-3B when I was a senior in college in 1970. I sold it after a year and missed it immediately. When I was in graduate school in 1972, I found the TR-2 (in terrible shape) sitting behind a gas station across the street from my dorm. Over the next 20 years, while racing a TR-4A, I gradually restored it. It is completely stock TR-2 except I finally put disk brakes on the front. I drive the car regularly on road rallys, tours, and to the Roadster Factory Summer Party, as well as just around town for enjoyment.

The TR-4 (CT3 11) was the first TR-4 delivered into the state of Indiana. I purchased it from the original owner, Jerry Pierce. Jerry bought the car in the spring of 1962, and started racing it in SCCA events immediately (back then, the cars were driven to the track, raced, their driven home). In 1968, Jerry bought a 'prepared' TR-4 which he raced after that and CT-311 sat in his garage, occasionally serving as a parts car, until I bought it in 1994. The car has a lot of dents (racing injuries) but is very solid. I restored all the mechanicals and had it painted. With very little investment I now have a car which is a ball to drive and very reliable. I used a Kastner 'D' cam in the engine with 10.5:1 compression, lightened flywheel, Weber 42DCOE's, etc. This car also gets driven a lot!
