ORIGINAL TR2, TR3, TR3A & TR3B PARTS CATALOGUE
Ah so you must be a particularly well endowed TR die hard to have wound up here!:)
You are probably tired of all the crazy mixed up parts catalogues and zany parts numbers put out by the modern day parts distributors. None of them except Roadster factory ever incorporate an original Triumph part number in their catalogue of parts and many of the catalogues show incorrect explosion diagrams.
If you click on the link below you will be able to download and save the PDF file which is the complete Original Triumph Motorcar Parts Catalogue as issued by Standard Triumph for the TR2 through TR3B models including all amendments.
Spare Parts Catalogue - Fourth Edition (part #501652/USA)
The file is approx 28 MEGs so be prepared that it could take some time to download to your computer depending on your internet connection speed. It is however well worth the effort if you would like to see explosion diagrams or reference specific part numbers.
*** NOTE: In order to view the parts Catalogue, you will need Adobe Reader. If you don't have it, you can click on Download Adobe Reader to download the free version.
There really is a method to some of the maddening part numbers when it comes to nuts & bolts!
- VTR has a nuts & bolts catalogue that you can reference which is especially helpful when seeking replacement nuts and bolts as the part number given in the original parts manual can be cross referenced for sizing and you will actually be able to determine the type, size, length and thread pitch of the item. You can download this info by clicking http://www.vtr.org/maintain/nuts-n-bolts.html . You do need to be a member of VTR to be able to access info on their website, but if you are in the process of restoring a car, the money you will save by being able to buy individual bolts, washers and nuts locally at competitive prices (instead of ordering them through a parts catalogue supplier at highly inflated prices) will more than offset the cost of your annual membership to VTR..
